We have set some guidelines here to ensure that this page remains a productive and supportive environment.
We hope this community becomes a hub of great discussion but as it is a public forum, the views expressed here by our fans and supporters are not necessarily those of the Jeans for Genes team and we can’t promise that they are always accurate. We will always be accurate with the information we supply regarding Jeans for Genes, Children’s Medical Research Institute and any information we share that is of a scientific nature.
Facebook is an open environment that is readily accessed by people from different backgrounds and even children. To keep this environment useful and safe to the community we expect that all community members post commentary that is relevant and useful. As such we will remove any posts that don’t adhere to our guidelines and will block repeat offenders.
We will remove posts that:
- are abusive, harassing or advocate the harassment of others, pornographic, related to gambling, stalking, threatening or attacking of others
- are defamatory, libellous, offensive, obscene, racist, vulgar or depict violence
- are hateful or intended to be discriminatory
- exploit people in a sexual or violent manner
- are invasive of another's privacy, including but not limited to, containing any telephone numbers, street addresses, last names, personal banking or financial information, URLs or email addresses
- only serve to deliberately disrupt constructive discussion (trolling)
- are fraudulent, deceptive, misleading or unlawful
- impersonate any person or entity, or falsely misrepresent an affiliation with a person or entity
- contain any content that infringes any patent, trade mark, confidential information, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party, including but not limited to posts, the content of which the poster does not have the right to make available on the Facebook page
- are spam
- contain viruses, malware (malicious software) or harm other people’s computers
- we consider to be commercial solicitation or soliciting donations
- are link baiting [i.e. embedding links that drive traffic to your site]
By submitting a post to the Jeans for Genes Facebook page you agree to be bound by these guidelines.
